Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Origin of the Chaplet:

Saint Faustina Kowalska was born in 1905 in Glogowiec, Poland. She was a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, where she lived for thirteen years. During her time in the congregation, she worked in various houses and held different roles, such as cook, gardener, and porter. Her spirituality was deeply rooted in the mystery of the Divine Mercy, which she meditated on and applied to her daily life. Through her knowledge and contemplation of this mystery, she developed a profound trust in God and a genuine love for her neighbors. Saint Faustina received divine revelations from Jesus himself, who appointed her as his secretary and apostle of mercy. Through her, Jesus intended to reveal his immense love to the world.

Sister Faustina's mission comprises three tasks:

<ol>
 <li>Proclaiming to the world the truth revealed in Scripture about God's merciful love for each individual.</li>
 <li>Seeking God's mercy for the entire world, especially for sinners.</li>
 <li>Inspiring an apostolic movement centered on the Divine Mercy, which aims to proclaim and obtain God's mercy for the world. This movement also encourages individuals to strive for Christian perfection by following in the footsteps of St. Faustina.</li>
</ol>
